A good foam is very achievable with barista style milks. Making latte art with it is something else I haven’t tried. What I’ve tried is looking for milks that pair well with espresso. Pre-Oatly era, this was my preferred choice and still is, if oat milks are unavailable at cafes.

When heated, the milk adds an acidic taste to the coffee—similar to a light roast coffee. When used cold, the taste is mildly nutty and pours creamy. It’s quite refreshing but I’ll drink this in moderation because of the added sugar (5g/serving).
